Current Kumho FIA TCR World Tour points leader Yann Ehrlacher has moved back to the top of the global driver ranking for the first time in 79 weeks, overtaking his title rival and teammate Thed Björk for the top position after scoring a victory in China at the weekend.
The title favourite also leads a Lynk & Co quartet, with newly-crowned TCR China champion David Zhu Dai Wei holding on to third in the ranking, while a pair of victories for his Teamwork Motorsport teammate Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang has seen him move up one spot to fourth, displacing the Honda TCR World Tour driver Esteban Guerrieri.
With two victories at the weekend in Zhuzhou, SP Compétition CUPRA driver Aurélien Comte has moved up to a personal best of ninth, moving up nine places, and becomes the best-placed driver for the Spanish marque in the classification.
Meanwhile, after the TCR UK finale, the two championship contenders find themselves ranked in joint 17th, with Callum Newsham and Adam Shepherd both on exactly 67.52 points after scoring a victory each at Brands Hatch, moving up 12 and 13 positions respectively.
