After the latest round of the TCR Chinese Taipei series, Shi Shiwei has moved up to 40th of the world’s ranked drivers, while South Korean racer Choi Jeong Weon has now broken into the top 100, after claiming his fourth win at Lihpao Racing Park.
The ranking this week updates for the prior weekend as well, so there were moves across many series that were in action, with TCR Denmark’s Mike Halder remaining the highest-placed driver from the category, thanks to his scores both in Denmark and in TCR Spain this year and is ranked 27th.
After the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge races at Virginia International Raceway, Belgian racer Denis Dupont remains the top driver in the ranking in 55th, just three spots ahead of his co-driver Preston Brown.
As for TCR Eastern Europe, Slovakia double race winner Adam Kout is just on the verge of breaking back into the top 10, with the Czech driver just two points shy of Argentina’s Ignacio Montenegro, and will have the chance to move up again this weekend at Brno.
