Toyota sign Bernardo Llaver for 2023 TCR South America

03 January 2023

Bernardo Llaver is the first driver announced by Toyota for the 2023 campaign in the TCR South America championship.

Llaver will be at the wheel of one of the Toyota Corolla GRS cars run by the TTA squad directed by Dario Ramonda; the Brazilian driver had made two appearances in last year’s TCR South America, in a WP2 Pro GP CUPRA Leon Competición car. He joined Raphael Reis in the endurance race at Termas de Río Hondo and then took part in the season finale at San Juan Villicum finishing on the podium – second and third – in both races.

Toyota joined the championship for the last three events of the season, claiming one pole position and two victories with Jorge Barrio.

The team will unveil the name of its second driver in the next weeks.

“I’m delighted to return racing for Toyota as I have so many friends since I raced in the past for TTA. I’m also very happy to have the opportunity to race in the full season of TCR South America and I hope we will be successful,” said Llaver.
