Three local drivers join the World Tour for the event at Inje

Three South-Korean drivers will join the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour for their home event at the Inje Speedium.

Junesung Park and Junui Park (no related) will be driving a pair of Hyundai Elantra N cars for the Solite Indigo Racing. The Parks have already earned a solid reputation racing in two seasons - 2023 and 2024 - in TCR Italy and this year in TCR Europe. They won one race apiece in the 2024 TCR Italy, finishing fifth (Junesung) and seventh (Junui). In the current season, Junesung won the last race of TCR Europe at Barcelona and they both took part in the first TCR Asia event at Inje, finishing 1-2 in Race 1, won by Junui.

The third local is Choi Jeong Weon in the KMSA Motorsport Hyundai Elantra N. Choi had secured the TCR Japan title in 2024 and this year he is racing in the TCR Chinese Taipei series, where he's fighting for the champion's crown. Before the season finale, Choi lies second in the standings, three points behind the reigning champion Shi Shiwei.
