Brazilian lady drivers Kaká Magno, Maria Nienkötter and Renata Camargo took part in a test in Interlagos at the wheel of a Cobra Racing Audi RS 3 LMS TCR.
The three women have emerged as the finalists of the selection organised by TCR South America and Cobra Racing to support one Brazilian lady driver for a full-season campaign in 2025. The winner will receive a financial support amounting to 50% of the running costs for the season.
Magno, the most experienced of the trio who currently competes in the Brazilian Stock Cars, said: “I’m very happy with this opportunity to drive a TCR car. It’s very fast and with a very good handling. Despite I had no experience in a front-wheel-driven car, I have adapted myself very well during the test.”
Camargo comes from drifting and endurance and takes part in the Copa Hyundai HB20. “It has been an amazing experience. I was dreaming to drive a TCR car in Interlagos and finally I did it! It was a day to learn the car and adapt myself to its power. I did my best and I have no words to say how much I’m happy!” she said.
At 17, Nienkötter is the youngest of the group and races in Fórmula Delta. “It’s a sensational car! I feel I was able to adapt myself well. The team provided a very warm welcome and I promise I will give all I can to be here next year!”
The test was managed by Cobra Racing team principal Flavio ‘Noño’ Figueiredo, while Felipe Maluhy acted as tutor and advisor.
