Three Italian drivers join TCR Europe this weekend in Misano

Sandro Pelatti, Michele Imberti and Jacopo Cimenes will join the TCR Europe field this weekend in Misano,

Pelatti makes his return to the European series after last racing at the 2024 season finale in Valencia, joining his regular TCR Italy teammate Nicolas Taylor on the grid at Misano. Pelatti will stand in for TCR Europe’s most recent race winner Felice Jelmini, who has other commitments this weekend, at the wheel of one of the team’s two Audi RS 3 LMS cars.

Imberti, a long-time front runner in TCR Italy, will race a Hyundai Elantra N run by his Kombat Motorsport team. The Italian driver has special feeling with the Misano circuit where he has claimed two race wins in TCR Italy, in 2022 and 2023.

Cimenes, who comes from a busy weekend in Monza, where he has taken part in four races – two each for the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour and TCR Italy – will drive a Honda Civic Type R FL5 for MM Motorsport alongside TCR Europe regular Marco Butti.
