Thed Björk has retaken the top spot in the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week following his second win of the season at Vila Real, moving four points clear of Esteban Guerrieri in the global classification.
A strong result for teammate Yann Ehrlacher also saw the French driver move up to third, passing Lynk & Co stablemate Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang in the order after the latest round of competition.
A pair of fourth place finishes for French star Aurélien Comte has helped move him up into the top 20, moving up four places this week.
After the latest round of the TCR UK championship, Callum Newsham remains the top British driver in the ranking in 26th, just one ahead of TCR Europe and TCR Spain frontrunner Jenson Brickley, while Bradley Hutchison holds on the final place in the top 30.
Two wins for Adam Shepherd at Oulton Park sees him move up to 34th. A drivers’ last 20 results are those that count towards the ranking, and Shepherd will soon start to drop a string of DNFs from his count in the coming events which should propel him up the order.
