Teddy Clairet is the first international driver who confirmed participation in the inaugural Bathurst International at Mount Panorama on November 11/13, final event of the TCR Australia championship.
Clairet will join Garry Rogers Motorsport, in one of the team’s Peugeot 308 cars alongside regular drivers Jordan Cox, Aaron Cameron, Dylan O’Keeffe and Ben Bargwanna.
“I'm really excited to come to Australia and race there,” said Clairet. “Bathurst is a mythical track so, for me it's a dream to race there and I'm really looking forward to discovering it. I know the car very well and I know that Garry Rogers Motorsport is a super team which also knows the car well. I'm fully confident they will provide me a great car and put me in the best condition to fight for strong results.”
Barry Rogers, GRM team manager echoed: “It will be fantastic to welcome Teddy into the GRM squad and have him as international representation at the Bathurst International. He’s a very experienced racer and a lovely guy too. We’re looking forward to seeing how Teddy goes at Bathurst, while we will also have one eye on the series title too. Our man Jordan Cox is right in the fight for the title, and we’re all pushing as hard as we can to ensure that Jordan and the rest of our team are right at the pointy end of the field at Mount Panorama.”
