Goiânia's Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna hosts the TCR South America for the first time, marking the end of this season's Brazilian leg before the championship moves to Uruguay and Argentina for the remaining events.
By winning the endurance race in the previous race meeting at Interlagos, Fabricio Pezzini (PMO Motorsport, Lynk & Co 03) has taken the lead in the standings, 11 points ahead of Raphael Reis (W2 Pro GP, CUPRA Leon Competición). In third and fourth position follow Pezzini's teammate José Manuel Sapag and Juan Ángel Rosso (Squadra Martino, Honda Civic Type R) with gaps of 43 and 47 points.
Behind the four leaders there is a bunch of drivers aiming for brilliant results, such as Pedro Aizza (Scuderia Chiarelli, Hyundai Elantra N), Gabriel Lusquiños (Crown Racing, Honda Civic Type R), Franco Farina (PMO Racing, Peugeot 308) and Bia Figueiredo (Cobra Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS).
For the first time, PMO Motorsport fields a third Lynk & Co car that is driven by Márcio Basso.
