TCR Italy’s triple champion Salvatore Tavano is back on track

Salvatore Tavano is back in TCR Italy after a one-year break. The Sicilian driver, who won the title three times (2018, 2019 and 2020) in five years, finishing once second (2022) and once third (2021), remains faithful to the team Scuderia del Girasole and the brand CUPRA.

For this new season, Tavano will be at the wheel of a brand new CUPRA Leon VZ.

“I’m delighted to be part of the return of Scuderia del Girasole to TCR Italy and to drive the new Leon VZ. It’s a new challenge that I face with great ambitions. We have had no time to test the car before Misano, because it has been a last-minute delivery from the factory, but we are all very motivated to do well!” Tavano said.
