TCR Italy: Ceccon reinstated in P2 of Mugello’s Race 2

TCR Italy: Ceccon reinstated in P2 of Mugello’s Race 2

25 October 2022

Aggressive Team Italia has won the appeal against the penalty handed to Kevin Ceccon in the second race of TCR Italy’s fourth race meeting at Mugello in July.

Ceccon had finished that race in second position behind Niels Langeveld but was dropped to eighth when the Stewards gave him a penalty of ten seconds for making contact with Damiano Reduzzi, which promoted Denis Babuin and Salvatore Tavano to second and third.

With Ceccon reinstated in second position, only the gaps between the top three in the final standings have changed a bit. Tavano and Babuin remain second and third in the championship, but now they lie 37 and 110 points behind Langeveld, having lost 3 and 5 points respectively.
