With just two weeks to go before the lights go out at the TCR Europe season opener in Portimão, the series is pleased to confirm 23 full-season entries. The series will also cap the grid at 26 cars, underlining its commitment to maintaining a high-quality and competitive field.
“I’m truly impressed by the level of commitment shown by teams and drivers this year,” said series promoter Rubén Fernández. “We already have 23 confirmed entries, and there are still three or four additional drivers we’re in discussions with. The grid is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent seasons.”
In a strategic move to ensure top-tier competition and operational efficiency, the championship will limit the grid to 26 cars for the season.
“Our goal is clear: we want a high-quality championship, not an overcrowded one,” Fernández added. “In exceptional cases, we might reach 28 cars at certain events, but our target is a 26-car grid to deliver the best racing possible.”
Fernández also emphasised the collaborative spirit behind the scenes. “We’re working hand-in-hand with the teams to build something special. I want to personally thank everyone involved for their support and dedication to making 2025 a standout year for TCR Europe.”
