TCR Denmark races at Ring Djursland have been cancelled

01 September 2024

Rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the TCR Denmark championship that were scheduled to be raced at Ring Djursland today have been cancelled.

The event had started normally on Saturday with two free practices of twenty minutes each, followed by the 12-minute Qualifying.

The points leader Mike Halder had been fastest in all the sessions in his TPR Motorsport Honda Civic Type R FL5, setting pole position with a lap of  51.071, ahead of Michael Markussen's Markussen Racing, CUPRA Leon VZ (51.207) and the Mascot Motorsport Honda Civic FL5 of the reigning champion Kasper Jensen (51.307).

The decision to cancel the races has been taken Sunday morning after Jensen's teammate Malte Ebdrup crashed his Honda during the warm-up, damaging the barriers beyond repair.

TCR Denmark will resume in two weeks with the Night Race at Padborg Park.
