David Zhu Dai Wei is now the no.1 ranked TCR driver in the world, moving ahead of Lynk & Co stablemate Thed Björk, after the Chinese driver took a pair of second-place finishes in Shanghai at the weekend and consolidated his lead in the drivers’ standings.
With Zhu and teammate Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang dominating the 2025 TCR China championship, the two Teamwork Motorsport drivers are very well-placed in the ranking, with Zhang holding on to fifth.
There were other key moves in the top 50 after the latest round of TCR Spain at Jerez, with front-runner Jenson Brickley now moving up six places to 20th after another podium result, helped by his combined TCR Spain and TCR Europe results, while runaway championship leader Mike Halder moves up one spot to 27th.
After the latest round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in Indianapolis, the top drivers from the series are all close together in the ranking. Preston Brown remains the best-placed driver in 60th, one spot ahead of his co-driver Denis Dupont, while their Bryan Herta Autosport teammate Mason Fillippi is 63rd; Montreal Motorsport Group Honda driver Karl Wittmer has closed in and is now 64th, moving up nine places after his podium finish at the weekend.
