Nicolas Taylor enjoyed a competitive debut in the TCR Europe series, scoring a pair of top ten finishes at Valencia, and has now moved up 19 positions to 77nd in the Kumho TCR World Ranking, just one ahead of Italian TCR regular Sandro Pelatti, and one behind former TCR China champion Sunny Wong, despite only having 12 races under his belt.
Victory in the second race in the TCR Europe series at Valencia for Jimmy Clairet after a limited programme recently saw the Frenchman make one of the biggest climbs of the year. The CUPRA driver moved up 95 positions and is now 199th in the ranking.
The series’ latest rookie winner Santiago Concepción also had his best weekend of the season in both the series and the ranking, moving up 82 positions this week to be 217th of the 1,000+ ranked drivers.
While Mike Halder missed out on the TCR Denmark series’ drivers’ title, a strong finale at Jyllandsringen was enough to move the German driver back into the top 25 with a five-position climb.
