Squadra Martino sign Cravero and Piquet for TCR South America

Matías Cravero and Nelson Piquet jr. are the first drivers confirmed by Squadra Martino for TCR South America’s 2025 season; they will both be driving brand new Honda Civic Type R FL5 cars.

The team directed by Sebastián Martino and supported by Honda Motor de Argentina won the TCR South America title in 2023 with Ignacio Montenegro and finished runner-up this year with Juan Manuel Casella. For the next season it will run four Civic FL5 cars and is expected to confirm Casella and Enrique Maglione to complete the line-up.

Both Cravero and Piquet occasionally raced for the team this year and now they are set for their first full season in TCR South America.

“I’m pleased to compete for the first time in a full championship for front-wheel-drive cars and I’m aiming to fight for the title. I made my first TCR appearance last year in Interlagos and I was impressed with the category’s professional level,” said Piquet.

And Cravero echoed: “I’m very happy to announce my commitment for 2025. I’m confident that with the team we have the potential to finish may times on the podium.”
