SP Compétition is ready for its debut in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour and will field a pair of CUPRA Leon VZ cars for John Filippi and Aurélien Comte.
Filippi, who was the first driver from a regional championship to score an outright World Tour victory, at Spa in 2023, is back for a second season after he raced last year in an Audi run by Volcano Motorsport.
"A new team, a new car, but still the same ambition: to fight at the front and hear the Marseillaise playing at the circuits around the world!" he said.
After fighting last year for the TCR Europe title, Comte stays with SP Compétition and the CUPRA on his return to the global stage.
"After having raced in TCR since I won the European Cup back in 2017, I feel like a veteran. I return to the international scene, more determined than ever," he said.
WSC President Marcello Lotti declared: "I'm delighted to see SP Compétition bringing the CUPRA brand for the first time in a full season of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. The Leon VZ has already proved competitive in many TCR series and I'm sure its potential will help the team and his strong pair of drivers to make an impact from the start."
