There’s been some movement in the top ten of the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week following the latest round of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, but also some major moves elsewhere in the top 100 after some strong performances from the TCR Italy field at Monza.
After a pair of podium finishes at the Monza weekend, Thed Björk has moved up to second ahead of teammate Yann Ehrlacher and is close to moving back ahead of Esteban Guerrieri to reclaim the position of number one driver in the world.
Also having a strong weekend, Ignacio Montenegro is on the verge of the top ten, moving up two places to 11th in the ranking, while a strong outing from teammate Marco Butti has seen the Italian driver move up 16 places to 16th.
There were also moves from the TCR Italy field, with podium finisher Matteo Roccadelli moving up 19 places to 37th, but twice race winner in the DSG class, Eric Brigliadori, made the highest jump, moving up 52 places to 56th.
Jacopo Cimenes was also a big mover after taking part in four races at the weekend. His World Tour and TCR Italy efforts launched him into the top 100, with a 48-place climb to 63rd.
