Shi Shiwei’s double victory at the TCR Chinese Taipei season finale in Lihpao has propelled the Taiwanese driver into the top 100 of the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week, moving up 26 positions as a result of a strong end to the season.
Shi’s title rival Gao Zilong finishes the 2024 season in 147th, a credible performance given he has only 11 results recorded in competition so far, with up to 20 counted towards a driver’s ranking total.
It was also a good weekend for the front runners in the Coppa Italia Turismo series at Misano. With TCR Italy regular Denis Babuin winning both races at Misano, he has moved up 11 positions to 86th this week.
Turkish driver Demir Eröge finished the year as the TCR sequential class champion in Coppa Italia Turismo, and also moved up ten positions to 80th.
