Shi Shiwei, the 2024 TCR Chinese Taipei champion, may not have retained his title at Lihpao, but the Fist-AAI Team driver still saw a significant boost in the rankings. Following a pair of podium finishes at the final race meeting of the season, Shiwei moved up to 40th this week.
The new TCR Chinese Taipei champion, Choi Jeong Weon, of course, also made great strides; the South Korean racer climbed 11 places to 56th this week, thanks to his two victories at Lihpao.
Meanwhile, TCR Panama frontrunner Luis Ramírez’s two victories in the latest round propelled him into the top 100 with a massive 22-place climb. This feat makes Ramírez both the first Panamanian driver and the first TCR Panama driver to break into the top century in both his and the series’ first full year of competition.
Another double winner, Koray Kamiloğlu, enjoyed a 29-place leap after his two victories at the Coppa Italia Turismo finale at Misano. He has moved up to 158th among the more than 1,500 ranked drivers.
