Second win for Konukoǧlu/Brigliadori in TCR European Endurance

Turgut Konukoǧlu and Eric Brigliadori scored a second consecutive win in the TCR European Endurance series at Vallelunga.

In their Texaco Team AMS Audi RS 3 LMS, the pair had to face strong opposition from the other Audi cars of PMA Motorsport’s Sandro Pelatti and Fox Racing’s Tommaso Fossati who had kept the first two positions during the initial stages.

However, after an early pit stop, Brigliadori was able to move into the lead, while Pelatti resisted the pressure from Fossati’s co-driver Filippo Barberi an retained the second place. With just three minutes left on the clock, Barberi was stopped by a technical failure that deprived him and Fossati of a well-deserved third place.

Ibrahim Okyay took the chequered flag in third position at the wheel of the Texaco Team AMS Audi DSG he shared with Seda Kaçan, but a penalty of five seconds dropped them behind their teammates Barkim Pinar and Zekai Özen.

The TCR European Endurance will be back in action at Misano on June 22.
