San Juan Villicum hosts TCR South America’s first event in Argentina

13 August 2024

The promoter of TCR South America unveiled the last unknown venue of the 2024 calendar.

It will be the Autódromo San Juan Villicum that will host the championship’s seventh race meeting, the first one in Argentina this year, on September 14/15. The circuit, whose layout measures 4254 metres, had already hosted a TCR South America in 2022 for the last event of the season that crowned champion Fabrício Pezzini.

In the first race Jorge Barrio drove the brand-new Toyota Corolla to its first victory, but because the provisionally-homologated car was not eligible to score, the points for the win went to Raphael Reis and his CUPRA Leon Competición, while Juan Ángel Rosso won Race 2 recovering from the last spot of the grid because his Honda Civic had been found underweight after the Qualifying.
