El Einar podium finisher Juan Ángel Rosso has moved up to become the best-placed Argentine driver and TCR South America competitor in the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week, moving ahead of countryman Néstor Girolami to an all-time best of seventh in the order.
Paladini Racing’s Rosso took two second-place finishes when the TCR South America series raced with the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, at El Pinar and his performance was only surpassed by the results of Pedro Cardoso, who took two victories as well as an overall podium at the weekend in his PMO Racing Peugeot. Cardoso therefore leaps up 19 positions in the ranking to 26th.
It was also a good weekend for TCR Eastern Europe Most race winner Mat’o Homola, who’s now moved up to ninth in the ranking this week. Meanwhile, TCR World Tour driver Esteban Guerrieri has now moved up to 12th place and the title contender is closing fast on the top ten.
TCR Australia points leader Zac Soutar, who’s moved up 12 places to 47th in the ranking, but reigning champion Josh Buchan is still the top-ranked Australian in the order, moving up two spots to 23rd.
