SCCC drivers Richard Boake and Dean Baker both had strong weekends at the final round of the series at Bowmanville’s Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and have climbed into the top 150 positions of the KUMHO TCR World Ranking.
Newly-crowned champion Baker’s two race wins meant he was the highest climber of all drivers this week, catapulting up 62 places to 142nd overall.
Boake, winner of Race 1, and who had to settle for second in the drivers’ championship, has finished the year as the best-placed of the Canadian series full-time drivers in the ranking, currently placed in 134th, himself having a strong 47-place climb in the ranking.
Justin Di Benedetto had a mixed weekend and dropped behind Boake and Baker in the ranking, but is still within the top 200, as now is Ron Tomlinson, whose double podium finishes saw the TWOth Autosports Audi driver climb 29 positions to also move into the to 200.
The top-placed driver in the ranking who took part in the series is Mark Wilkins, currently 89th, but who only competed in the Honda Indy Toronto round, and his ranking points are mostly from his exploits in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
