German driver René Münnich has benefitted from his two wins and a second place last weekend at the Yas Marina circuit, where he claimed his second consecutive championship title in the United Arab Emirates's Gulf ProCar. As a result, the Honda driver has leapt up to 153rd place in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking this week.
The 3.9 points scored over the weekend in the ranking also sees him move ahead of his arch rival Alexandros Annivas, with the Greek driver dropping two places in the ranking from 160th to 162nd following the season finale of the Gulf Procar championship.
There was also a move in the top ten of the ranking, as Italian star Kevin Ceccon dropped from eighth to ninth, falling behind his TCR Italy rival and eventual champion Niels Langeveld. This is because Ceccon has dropped his 20th oldest result after being out of competition for just over eight months, having left the series after the round at Mugello in July.
