René Münnich grabs the UAE Procar title in style

The final event of the 2021/2022 UAE Procar Championship awarded double points and ended with René Münnich grabbing the Class 1 title in style. At Dubai Autodrome, the German driver finished fourth overall and third in the class in Race 1, after receiving a 30-second penalty for overtaking under yellow flags, but then drove his Münnich Motorsport Honda Civic Type R to a dominant overall victory in the second race.

The defending champion Alexandros Annivas finished third overall and second in class in both races, and was classified second in the final standings, 29 points behind Münnich.

After the first race, the title fight was still wide opened, with 13 points between Münnich and Annivas. The latter took a great start and led in the early stages, but eventually Münnich passed him and went on to take the race win and the title.
