31 August 2021

Three new drivers will join TCR South America for the next event at the Autódromo Internacional Eduardo P. Cabrera in Rivera, Uruguay, on September 11 and 12.
Peru’s Rodrigo Pflucker will make his first appearance in the championship at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N run by the Peru Racing Team managed by Nicolás Etchamendi. Pflucker has recently tested his car at the Autódromo Víctor Borrat Fabini in El Pinar, Uruguay. The 24-year-old Peruvian finished runner-up in the 2015 South American Formula 4 championship and won the LMP3 title in the 2019 IMSA Prototype Challenge.
Uruguayan racers Cyro Fontes and Gonzalo Reilly will join Squadra Martino that will extend its line up to three Honda Civic Type R cars, adding the two Uruguayans to regular racer José Manuel Sapag. During the latest seasons, Fontes and Reilly have competed in the Uruguayan Superturismo and Argentine TC2000 championships.
