Sandro Pelatti and Franco Girolami emerged victorious in the TCR European Endurance season opener at Mugello.
At the wheel of their PMA Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS, they won the second 55-minute stage after a thrilling last-lap fight between Pelatti and Yuri Brigliadori in the BF Motorsport-run Audi he shared with Alessandro Alcidi.
The BF Motorsport pair had to settle with second place, while Jamaican driver Senna Summerbell completed the podium and won the DSG class in a Wimmer Werk Motorsport CUPRA.
After having won the first stage in their Wimmer Werk Motorsport CUPRA Leon Competición, Salvatore Tavano and Eric Scalvini managed to steal the lead from Pelatti in the second half of the second stage, but eventually Tavano stopped on the track with a technical failure fifteen minutes before the end.
The next round will be at the Slovakiaring, on June 7/8.
