TCR Europe front runners Kobe Pauwels and Tom Coronel made great gains this week in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking. Pauwels, with his two victories in the TCR Europe class at the Hungaroring, has now moved up 69 places and is well inside the top 100, despite recording only half of his 20-result minimum target.
Tom Coronel’s two second places helped move the Dutchman back to fifth place, displacing his Comtoyou Racing Audi team-mate Rob Huff after one week.
Néstor Girolami’s continued consistency with a brilliant second place finish at the Hungaroring in the KUMHO TCR World Tour has now moved him into the top ten, and he’s just one place (and three points) behind his brother Franco.
The top four remain unchanged, with Frédéric Vervisch still on top of the ranking, but now only just barely, with new KUMHO TCR World Tour points leader Yann Ehrlacher right behind him.
The biggest climber of the week was TCR Denmark star Silas Rytter, who only in his second race weekend in any TCR competition, scored a pair of victories and so has shot up 208 places in the ranking to 227th position.
Four drivers from the TCR Denmark series remain in the top 45, with Kasper H. Jensen 13th, Mike Halder 23rd, Nicolai Sylvest 25th, and Gustav Birch 32nd.
