New TCR Panama championship kicks off in two weeks

Autódromo Panamá, premier racetrack in the Central American and Caribbean region, and WSC Group, the owner of TCR trademark and technical regulations, are proud to announce the launch of TCR Panama that will kick off on February 22/23.

The six-year agreement that will last until 31 December 2030, brings the globally acclaimed TCR series to Panama, marking a significant leap forward for motorsports in the region.

Inaugurated in 2024, Autódromo Panamá has quickly established itself as the benchmark for car racing, offering state-of-the-art facilities and attracting top talent from across the region.

With over 14 drivers already committed to competing, TCR Panama promises to deliver world-class racing action. The circuit will host the five-event championship with technical support provided by the TCR organization.

WSC President Marcello Lotti stated: “We are delighted to launch TCR Panama, a new series that further extends the TCR footprint on the Americas. This new championship is set to kick off in style, with a good grid and thanks to the enthusiasm of the local promoter. We can’t wait for the season opener in two week-time!”
