Montreal Motorsport Group announced its return to the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, building on the momentum of its strong third-place finish in 2025. The team will field again a Honda Civic Type R FL5 for Canadian driver duo of Karl Wittmer and Louis Philippe Montour who will be joined by Daijiro Yoshihara for the Daytona 4-hour race in January.
Wittmer said: “I’m excited for this upcoming season. In my third-year racing with MMG, it’s clear just how much we’ve grown in skill and as a racing family. The trust, the support, the way we push each other forward makes us a stronger team.”
Montour echoed “I’m more motivated than ever. I have only one goal in mind: to take the lead in the championship and win it! Karl and I make a very effective duo, and we share the same objective. I have complete confidence in the team to support me and help me reach this goal.”
Team principal Benjamin Distaulo added: “Our driver lineup is strong, our car is fast, and our team is more determined than ever. We have a perfect balance of speed and experience, and we are ready to battle for podiums every weekend.”
