Montenegro and Losonczy named JAS Development Drivers

JAS Motorsport revealed the first two members of the Driver Development Programme for 2024: Ignacio Montenegro and Levente Losonczy.

Both the 19-year-old Argentine Montenegro, 2023 TCR South America champion, and the 20-year-old Hungarian Losonczy, podium finisher in TCR Italy, will be driving new Honda Civic Type R FL5 cars for ALM Motorsport in the TCR Europe series. On top of this, Montenegro will also take part in TCR Spain while Losonczy will continue to race in TCR Italy.

Further members of the programme will be announced in the new year.

Montenegro said: “I wish to thank all the people who helped me to reach this goal of joining the JAS Motorsport and ALM Motorsport programme in Europe. I hope to be up to task of representing the Argentine colours at the highest level.”

Losonczy said: “I’m very excited, because this programme offers me the chance to learn so much about how to be a professional racing driver; learning about the car, teamwork and self-preparation. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity.”
