Misano World Circuit is the venue for the first event of TCR Italy's new season that retains the division between SEQ and DSG cars in two different championships.
A total of 39 competitors have entered: 20 in the SEQ championship and 19 in the DSG.
In the major series, Nicolas Taylor returns to defend his title in an Audi RS 3 LMS run by PMA Motorsport. The Canadian youngster will be facing again Nicola Baldan who was a serious contender in 2024 and was eventually classified third in the standings; Baldan too will drive an Audi, but for Aikoa Racing.
Other drivers who have the potential of fighting for the title are Michele Imberti in his Kombat Racing Hyundai Elantra N, Jacopo Cimenes at the wheel of a Honda Civic FL5 run by MM Motorsport and especially last year's race winner Alex Ley also in a Hyundai Elantra who has moved to the BRC Racing Team.
There is a crucial change to the Sporting Regulations for the SEQ races that revert to the standing start, while the DSG races retain the rolling start.
