Mike Halder excluded from Nürburgring Race 1

15 August 2020

Mike Halder was excluded from TCR Germany’s first race at the Nürburgring in which he had finished second behind Norbert Michelisz but had scored the points for victory due to the WTCR champion’s guest status.
Halder was excluded for having disarmed the fire extinguisher of his Honda Civic while in the parc fermé after the race.
This promoted Andreas Bäckman to second and Mike’s sister Michelle to third; she scored the points for the victory as Bäckman too is a guest driver.
In the championship, Dominik Fugel has now a nine-point lead over Harald Proczyk, while Michelle Halder has climbed to third, a further two points adrift.
