There were major changes at the top of the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week, as Norbert Michelisz, the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour points leader and winner in Race 2 at Interlagos, moved up to a clear third in the ranking ahead of title rival Yann Ehrlacher.
Meanwhile, a steady weekend in Brazil for TCR South America front runner Juan Ángel Rosso saw the Toyota driver break into the top ten, deposing TCR Eastern Europe’s points leader Mat’o Homola, with Rosso now just two points behind fellow Argentine countryman Bernardo Llaver.
There was also a ten-place jump for Rafael Suzuki, the PMO Peugeot driver who won both races in TCR South America at the weekend, and he’s now up to 14th position.
Esteban Guerrieri, who won Race 1 in the TCR World Tour, continues to build up to his minimum 20 scoring results and soared up the classification to 16th, up 17 positions, just one spot ahead of Raphael Reis, who also made a big gain of eight places in the ranking this week.
TCR Spain points leader Jenson Brickley made a 14-place climb to become the second-highest placed driver from the UK, moving ahead of reigning TCR UK champion Carl Boardley, and former TCR China front runner Jack Young.
