Megan Tomlinson will become the second female racer entered for the KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour, just a day after Riley Pegram was confirmed as the first female driver to compete in the series this weekend. Tomlinson will race alongside John Filippi at the Spanish Volcano Motorsport team in its second Audi RS 3 LMS.
Tomlinson made her TCR debut last month at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in the SCCC with TWOth Autosport, so she already has familiarity with the second-generation Audi car.
The 24-year-old Ontario native will take over the Audi piloted by Sami Taoufik during the first two rounds of the series at Vallelunga and Marrakech, with the Moroccan driver standing down this weekend for personal reasons.
Tomlinson said: “I’m super-excited for the opportunity to compete at this level in the KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour, and grateful to get to come out and work with Volcano Motorsport. I can’t wait to see what the weekend brings!”
