Max Hesse named ADAC Junior Motorsportsman of the year

08 November 2019

2019 ADAC TCR Germany champion Max Hesse has been named the ADAC Junior Motorsportsman of the year.
After winning the TCR Germany’s Rookie award 2018, at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS run by ProSport Performance, the 18-year-old Hesse raced for Engstler Motorsport in a Hyundai i30 N and scored four race wins on his way to secure the 2019 title.

"I did not expect to win this award, it was a big surprise for me and I'm very happy. The nomination as ADAC Junior Motorsportsman of the year is a great honour, especially when you look at the previous winners, like Mick Schumacher last year," said Hesse.

ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk commented: “Max Hesse had already proved his potential by winning the Rookie Trophy last year and has now confirmed to be a very talented driver with the overall title.”
Hesse will receive the award at Munich, on December 13th, during the ADAC Motorsport Gala.
