23-year-old Irish Max Hart will race in TCR Europe with Target Competition. Hart made his TCR debut in 2020 in TCR UK, challenging for the title in a CUPRA TCR; he switched to a Hyundai i30 N in 2021 when he battled for the title again. He then made the switch to TCR China in 2023, racing a Hyundai Elantra N for the Z.Speed team and ending the season with a victory at Macau. For 2024, Hart moved to TCR Asia, missing out the title at the final round.
Hart joins TCR Europe, sticking with the Hyundai brand for a fifth consecutive season and racing for Target Competition.
“I’m excited to be joining TCR Europe,” said Hart. “One of the main reasons to do this series is to try and get to the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. The tyre award and entry support is a great incentive. I know the car well and the package we’ve got is absolutely perfect, with the Elantra and Target Competition. I believe it’s a match made in heaven.”
