Matías Rossi joins Toyota Team Argentina for TCR South America

Matías Rossi, one of Argentina’s most successful Touring Car drivers has moved to TCR and joined Toyota Team Argentina to race in TCR South America.

Rossi, 39 years old, has claimed seven national titles in different categories: TC2000. Super TC2000, Turismo Nacionál, Turismo Carretera and Top Race V6, before competing last year in the Brazilian Stock Car series.

“I’m very happy to enter TCR South America. For me it is important to be able to compete in a category of international level with drivers of different nationalities. I know the car, because I was part of the team that worked on its development, and I think that this will help me to adapt and set up the car. My goal is to fight for race wins and arrive to the final part of the season with the chances to win the title,” Rossi said.

Team principal Dario Ramonda said: “We are excited to welcome Rossi in the team. He is a driver with an impressive record and his arrival helps us to maintain our ambitious goals while keeping on with the successful development of the Corolla TCR.”
