There have been some big moves in the Kumho TCR World Ranking after a major weekend for the TCR regional and national series, with Brno race winner Mat’o Homola climbing to fifth place in the order, while TCR China points leader Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang’s podium sees the Chinese star become the top ranked driver from his country.
Homola won Race 1 in the TCR Europe and TCR Eastern Europe joint-event at Brno, and his podium in Race 2 helped him make his way into the top five for the first time.
Teamwork Motorsport Lynk & Co driver Jason Zhang enjoyed a five-place climb after a podium result at Ningbo and moves into the top ten for the first time since the publication of the ranking, moving one spot ahead of countryman and his team-mate last time out at Zhejiang Ma Qing Hua.
Two podiums for Hyundai China driver Martin Cao Hong Wei saw him move up to 12th position from 14th, while double-winner Martin Xie Xin Zhe was up seven places to 29th.
Second place in Race 1 in the TCR Europe series was enough to see Aurélien Comte make a big move and movr up five places to 16th, while his title rival Franco Girolami is still the top ranked driver from the series in ninth overall.
