Mason Filippi sets pole for TC America finale at Las Vegas

Mason Filippi returned to TC America for the series final event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and drove his Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N to set the pole position.
After posting the fastest lap in both the Free Practice sessions, Filippi clocked a 1:42.225 that improved by half-a-second Nate Vincent’s provisional fastest lap of 1:42.715.
“The car that Copeland Motorsports gave me was awesome. The Pirelli P Zero tyres are great here at Vegas and I can’t wait to get to the race tomorrow, it’s going to be fun!” said Filippi.  

Victor González's Honda Civic and Michael McCann’s Audi RS 3 LMS will fill the second row of the grid for today’s Race 1, while championship leader Michael Hurczyn qualified in fifth position.
Stephen Vajda claimed the pole in the TCR Cup-class for DSG cars, starting sixth overall; Vajda’s 1:45.041 eclipsed Christian Cole’s 1:45.092 and points leader Bryan Putt’s 1:45.104 by five and six hundredths of a second respectively.
