There were moves aplenty in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking last weekend with a large number of series in competition.
Hyundai N China driver Martin Cao Hong Wei became the first TCR China driver to break into the top 20 of the ranking after a strong weekend with a podium finish in Sunday’s race, while his Lynk & Co Teamwork Motorsport title rivals David Zhu Dai Wei and Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang were also high climbers after a strong weekend for the pair in Shanghai, moving up 39 and 12 positions respectively.
Zhang Zhen Dong, the Chinese driver who now races in the TCR Asia series, broke into the top 100 after a pair of victories at the second race meeting at Sepang, as did three-time TCR Italy champion Salvatore Tavano, after claiming a podium at Pergusa – while Pergusa Race 2 race winner Ruben Volt moves into the top 50 with a nine-place climb.
KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour podium finisher Esteban Guerrieri continues his fast rise back up the ranking after a year out of full-time competition in TCR, and is now up to 39th position.
