Markussen switches to Honda for the 2025 TCR Denmark

TCR Denmark’s regular Michael Markussen has switched to a new Honda Civic Type R FL5 for the 2025 season.

After finishing fourth in last year's championship in a CUPRA Leon VZ run by his own team Markussen Racing, the Dane aims for fighting for the title.

"We started last year with a completely new car, but the challenge of making it competitive on the Danish tracks was greater than we expected. Now we have switched to a car that has already proven to be competitive. I think this will make a world of difference," said Markussen, who will make his debut in the new car this weekend in TCR Spain’s season opener at Barcelona.

"It is an investment to prepare for a good start at home. I know the Barcelona circuit quite well from my seasons in the Le Mans Cup, and even though it is different from the Danish tracks, we can begin to understand how the car works.”
