Luis Ramírez is set to become the first driver from Panama to join the TCR South America championship, this weekend at San Juan Villicum.
Ramírez will be at the wheel of the Squadra Martino Honda Civic FK7 cars that had been driven by Norberto Fontana at Interlagos and Mercedes.
The young Panamanian is no new to TCR competicion, having won the category in the Challenge de Las Américas that was run on the new Autódromo Panamá, where he raced a Hyundai Elantra N.
"This is an incredible opportunity I am given, following my wins in the Challenge de Las Américas," Ramírez said. "I'm extremely proud to go racing in Argentina against some of the best Touring Car drivers from the South America region."
