Luciano Martínez joins TCR Italy with Pinetti Motorsport

Luciano Martínez, the 21-year-old Argentine driver coming from USA Formula 4, will take part in the TCR Italy season at the wheel of a second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS run by Pinetti Motorsport.

“My plan was indeed to switch to covered wheels racing, and I have received offers from Spain, but watching my countryman Franco Girolami winning last year’s TCR Italy title made me focus on this championship that is extremely competitive. I have already tested the car and I love it. I also like the Italian circuits where I have tested, especially Vallelunga and Misano. This will be my maiden Touring Car season, but my goal is to be competitive, continuing the tradition of the Argentine drivers who are among the best in this category,” said Martínez.
