Luca Engstler sets the pace in TCR Germany pre-season test

ADAC TCR Germany's returnee Luca Engstler clocked the fastest lap in the two-day pre-season test at Oschersleben.
At the wheel of his Hyundai i30 N, Engstler posted a lap of 1:30.430, on Tuesday morning in the fastest of the six test sessions.
Lithuanian newcomer Jonas Karklys created a surprise by posting the second best lap (1:30.750) in another Hyundai run by Nordpass Jutaracing, while Team Engstler's second driver Nico Gruber was third fastest (1:30.891) completing a trio of Hyundai car on top of the timesheet.
Marcel Fugel was the best of the rest (1:31.398) in the ADAC Sachsen Honda Civic, ahead of René Kircher's Team Oettinger Volkswagen Golf GTI (1:31.694) and the Danish newcomer Martin Andersen in a third Team Engstler's Hyundai (1:32.043).
The best of the Wimmer Werk Motorsport CUPRA Leon Competición was that of Felix Wimmer, seventh fastest (1:32.658).
14 drivers took part in the test.
