TCR South America title contender Bernardo Llaver's points haul from the Velocitta races on Sunday has seen the Argentine move up to 11th place in the ranking, just 0.08 points away from breaking into the top ten.
He could indeed move into the top ten next week depending on the performance of current tenth-place incumbent Niels Langeveld this weekend at the TCR Italy season finale at Imola.
Meanwhile in the UK, Jac Constable claimed victory in the final race of TCR UK at Brands Hatch in his Audi RS 3 LMS, and in doing so has ended up as the best-placed of the championship’s runners in the ranking, which is full of drivers from the high-scoring series which again featured a 20+ car entry at the weekend.
Constable has taken over from Bruce Winfield as the best-placed driver, with Winfield's average weekend seeing him drop ten positions to 29th.
Alex Ley, who finished second in the drivers' championship, is now also second of the TCR UK competitors in the ranking at the conclusion of the season. The Hyundai Motorsport Junior Driver moved up nine spots to 24th overall, just 1.4 points away from Constable.
