Konukoǧlu/Brigliadori win TCR European Endurance inaugural race

The inaugural round of the new TCR European Endurance series took place at the Balaton Park Circuit, where its competitors joined the grid of the two TCR Eastern Europe’s races.

The teams entered in the series kept on going after the chequered flag had been waved for their Eastern Europe colleagues to complete two legs of 60 minutes that would make the final results for the two-hour race.

Turgut Konukoǧlu and Eric Brigliadori leds throughout both parts and took a dominant victory in their Texaco Team AMS second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS.

The pair beat the Audi DSG of their teammates Ibrahim Okyay and Seda Kaçan by 98 seconds, while the Zsille Motorsport CUPRA of Hungarian drivers Bálasz Takács and Zoltán Bárkovics completed the podium.

The second round of the series will be at Vallelunga on 18/19 May.
