Knego returns to TCR Eastern Europe in his Hyundai Elantra

Žarko Knego has committed to another full season in TCR Eastern Europe. The Croatian driver will be racing for Auto Klub Dubrovnik once again at the wheel of his Hyundai Elantra N.

“Halfway-through the season last year, we change from the CUPRA to the Elantra. We were not sure this was the right decision, but we were promised assistance from Hyundai Motorsport. I had to adapt my driving style to the new car and the team had to change the way of setting it up. During the winter we got a new engine and rebuilt gearbox and suspension. Last weekend we did our first test, and we plan to make at least another two or three tests before the start of the season,” Knego explained, adding: “I also spent quite a lot of time on physical preparation and in setting my goals for the season I would be happy to score points in all races and to achieve a few podium finishes.”
