TCR Spain points leader Jenson Brickley has moved up to 12th after scoring his first victory of the 2024 TCR Spain season at the Valencia circuit, while it was also a good weekend for his title rival Ignacio Montenegro, with the Argentinian’s Race 2 victory moving him up seven spots to 15th in the Kumho TCR World Ranking.
The reigning TCR South America champion’s progress means that a whole third of the top 15 globally ranked drivers come from Argentina.
On that note, it was another strong weekend for Toyota driver Matías Rossi, who climbed to 42nd place this weekend at the latest round of the TCR South America series at Buenos Aires, with the five-time Argentinian touring car champion still racking up good results in his first year of TCR competition.
FFSA TC France’s star performer Sébastien Thome had a great weekend and has broken into the top 100 with a 33-place climb, moving up to 93rd, coincidentally one spot ahead of the newly-crowned TC France champion Julien Paget.
